Government Description
VISN 5 has a requirement for a web-based Electronic Drawings Management System (EDMS) with graphical tools to store and share engineering drawings, assign space, and report usage among organizational groups. The contractor will provide continual as-built drawing update services, including building and maintaining an electronic library of current drawings, developing a file naming system, scanning hardcopy drawings into pdf format, and collecting metadata for each drawing. Additional tasks include building a Capital Asset Inventory (CAI) database to track space assignments and generate CAI reports, hosting the database with secure login access and federal security measures, maintaining the system 24/7, and providing technical support. The system will also implement modules for space management, as-builts, fire life safety, scheduling, and utilities, each with data entry, editing, and reporting capabilities in compliance with VA standards.
