Government Description
Van special need transport services provided for eligible beneficiaries of the VA Maryland healthcare system. The contractor supplies wheelchair van transportation, including all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, and uniforms, to transport beneficiaries to and from VA medical centers and clinics in baltimore, MD. Services are available monday through friday from 6 am to 6 PM, with the ability to provide service outside these hours with 24-HOUR notice, and must maintain a minimum 90% compliance rate for timely pick-up responses. Only one veteran beneficiary is transported per trip unless otherwise authorized, and wait time reimbursement is provided after a 30-MINUTE grace period.
