Government Description
Interventional radiology services provided at the Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey healthcare system, east orange VA Medical Center (VAMC). Includes a full-time equivalent interventional radiologist performing a range of ir procedures such as angiography, cryoablation, balloon angioplasty/stent placement, line insertion, chemoembolization, ivc filter placement, cholecystostomy, kyphoplasty, drain insertions, nephrostomy placement, embolization, radiologically inserted gastrostomy, thrombolysis, dialysis access and related interventions, biopsy, tips placement, radiofrequency ablation, Y90, and biliary intervention. On-call services provided during all hours when the VAMC clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of four credentialed ir physicians available to respond to emergencies within sixty minutes.
