Overview
Government Description
Radiation oncology chief therapeutic medical physicist and medical physicist for the New York harbor health care system. Includes providing a team of senior therapeutic medical physicists, certified medical dosimetrists, and therapeutic radiation therapists to deliver a full range of on-site, acr-accredited radiation oncology services to veteran patients at the brooklyn campus. Services encompass external-beam and internal radiation therapies, quality assurance, calibration, and commissioning of equipment, as well as participation in multidisciplinary committees and development of new patient-related radiation therapy techniques. Staff are responsible for daily operations, safety reporting, and compliance with privacy regulations, utilizing advanced equipment and software for treatment planning and delivery.
