Government Description
VISN 1 interim IDIQ provides prescription eyeglasses and optician services throughout VISN 1, covering all VA medical centers in new england. The contractor is responsible for manufacturing and delivering corrective eyeglasses (dress and safety) based on VA eye clinic prescriptions, as well as providing licensed optician fitting services at VA facilities. All labor and materials necessary for these services are supplied, with compliance to VHA directive 2008-070 regarding the prescribing of eyeglasses. Services are performed at multiple VA medical centers and clinics across Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
