TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDED FOR ELIGIBLE VETERAN BENEFICIARIES OF THE VA MANCHESTER HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. THE CONTRACTOR DELIVERS NON-EMERGENT MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION (NEMT) SERVICES 24/7, INCLUDING HOLIDAYS, ENSURING RELIABLE ACCESS TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AND SERVICES. TASKS INCLUDE SCHEDULED AND UNSCHEDULED NEMT, 'THROUGH THE DOOR' ASSISTED SERVICE, SECURE TRANSPORT OF MEDICAL RECORDS WHEN REQUIRED, AND OBSERVATION OF PATIENTS DURING TRANSIT. ALL WORK IS PERFORMED IN COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE FEDERAL AND STATE REGULATIONS AT VA MEDICAL CENTERS AND OUTPATIENT CLINICS IN NEW ENGLAND.
