Government Description
Laboratory accreditation services provided to ensure that laboratory facilities meet necessary standards for providing accurate and reliable diagnostic testing and medical services. The contractor performs biennial on-site audits and continuous monitoring for Veterans Health Administration (VHA) clinical laboratories and community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCS) conducting moderate and/or high complexity testing. Tasks include auditing laboratory services against federal requirements, assessing compliance with regulations such as 42 C.F.R. Part 493 and VHA directive 1106, evaluating corrective actions for non-conformance, providing best practices, investigating quality complaints, and making final accreditation determinations for each location.
