Healthcare accreditation services provided for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) facilities. Includes accreditation for VHA medical facilities, ambulatory care facilities, consolidated mail outpatient pharmacies (CMOPS), and opioid treatment programs (OTPS), covering programs such as hospital, ambulatory, behavioral health, home care, and other specialties and special programs. Services include conducting triennial and out-of-cycle accreditation surveys, including for-cause, extension, and follow-up accreditation surveys, by an accrediting body approved by samhsa, recognized by CMS, and accredited by acgme. The accreditation process encompasses a complex system of related and dependent activities necessary for maintaining standards across all identified VHA healthcare organizations and facilities.
