HEARINGS UNDER THIS CONTRACT WILL BE CONDUCTED BY SSA'S OHO AT HOS, PRSS, AND COV SITES IN REGION 02-1, WHICH ENCOMPASSES NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY. PROVIDES QUALIFIED VERBATIM HEARING RECORDERS (VHRS) TO ASSIST ADMINISTRATIVE LAW JUDGES (ALJS) WITH ADMINISTRATIVE ASPECTS OF HEARINGS, INCLUDING DIGITALLY RECORDING PROCEEDINGS, SETTING UP HEARING ROOMS, AND MANAGING HEARING RECORDING EQUIPMENT. VHRS ALSO GREET AND USHER CLAIMANTS, PRESENT CASE FILES TO UNREPRESENTED CLAIMANTS, CONNECT ALL PARTIES, ANNOTATE DIGITAL RECORDINGS, COLLECT EVIDENCE, COMPLETE POST-HEARING PAPERWORK, AND ENSURE ADHERENCE TO HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS.
