Government Description
Aviation Mechanic Support Services (AMSS) provides full scope fixed and rotary wing aviation support for the FBI's critical incident support group (CIRG), including aircraft maintenance and support personnel to meet mission requirements. Includes performing field level maintenance and back shop support for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, providing qualified personnel such as lead aircraft technicians with a&P certification and inspection authorization, airframe and power plant specialists, and inventory specialists. Additional tasks involve managing maintenance production schedules, tool controls, inventory management, implementing quality control systems to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and oem specifications, and establishing a Safety Management System (SMS) to identify hazards and manage risks. Services are performed at various locations including Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland (national capital region), point mugu CA, chicago IL, atlanta GA, Denver CO, stafford VA, and lakehurst NJ.
