Government Description
Radiochemistry analytical testing is provided for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) to support scientific projects by analyzing environmental matrices such as waters, sediments, and biological tissues. The contractor performs radiochemistry analyses using specified analytical methods, complies with 40 cfr requirements and maintains accreditation with nelac or ISO/iec 17025, and provides method documentation and demonstration data to meet quality-control requirements. Environmental samples collected by USGS water science centers are analyzed, with results reported in specified formats including pdf reports and electronic data deliverables, and results are reported down to established method detection limits (MDLS) and project-specific reporting limits (PSRLS) as required. The contractor ensures proper sample handling, accountability, and storage until analysis.
