Government Description
EXCLUSIVE USE SMOKEJUMPER FLIGHT SERVICES FOR BLM - BOISE, IDAHO. THE CONTRACT PROVIDES CONTRACTOR-OPERATED AND MAINTAINED AIRCRAFT THAT MEET MINIMUM OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, INCLUDING A STANDARD AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE AND CERTIFICATION UNDER CIVIL AIR REGULATION PART 3 OR 14 CFR 23 OR 25. AIRCRAFT ARE USED FOR TRANSPORTING AND DROPPING SMOKEJUMPERS AND PARACARGO, RECONNAISSANCE, TESTING PARACHUTES AND AERIAL EQUIPMENT, TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONNEL AND CARGO IN SUPPORT OF FIRE SUPPRESSION ACTIVITIES, SEARCH AND RESCUE, NATURAL RESOURCES MISSIONS, AND OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE AND RELATED RESOURCES ACTIVITIES AS DIRECTED BY THE GOVERNMENT. AIRCRAFT MUST BE CAPABLE OF SINGLE PILOT OPERATION, MEET SPECIFIC PAYLOAD AND AIRSPEED REQUIREMENTS, AND OPERATE FROM A 3,000-FOOT GRAVEL RUNWAY UNDER SPECIFIED CONDITIONS.
