Government Description
Type II helicopter flight services in support of BLM wildfire fighting mission. Includes fully contractor operated and maintained type II helicopter services to support fire suppression and natural resource activities for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), with helicopters based in lakeview, or and twin falls, ID. Missions include interagency fire management program support such as wildland fire suppression, fire monitoring, initial attack, and related resource activities, with some technical flights conducted in high angle vertical environments with minimal rotor clearance. The contractor may be required to operate from alternate bases when dispatched by the government and must possess FAA certificates issued under 14 cfr part 135, 133, and 137.
