Government Description
Exclusive use helicopter flight services provided for National Park Service (NPS) fire, search and rescue (SAR), and natural resource missions. Includes transporting personnel and cargo in support of fire management, SAR, and natural resource management at denali national park and preserve and fairbanks, Alaska, using two light helicopters equipped to specific requirements. Tasks performed include vegetation monitoring, cultural resources surveys, radio repeater reprogramming, stream surveys, climate station maintenance, mine surveys, stream sampling, law enforcement support, it and maintenance flights, archaeological surveys, and search and rescue operations. Additional work supports resource management, peninsula clean-up, and other NPS missions in Alaska.
