Provide scientific, technical and engineering support services for NIST sites. Includes technical support for neutron activation analyses, development of standardization processes and reference materials for advanced cryptography, forensic genetic analysis and sequencing of biological samples, and implementation support for ai risk management guidance. Additional tasks involve support for human/machine teaming for manufacturing digital twins, international standards coordination, mass spectral library creation, network co-simulation, nepa support for construction grants, agent-based cyber-physical systems modeling, and statistical methods for analyzing degradation in engineered materials. Other activities include developing novel mechanical test methods for infrastructure materials, upgrading instrumentation for thermal characterization, kinetic modeling of refrigerant-air flames, building standards development, privacy risk management, radiation studies, cryptographic algorithm validation, science writing for the hurricane maria program, and support for science reference information and ux-vr reality development.
