Government Description
Aerial contract to provide aircraft to release sterile fruit flies in Los Angeles basin for the medfly release program. Provides six fixed wing twin engine airplanes, as needed, with qualified pilots and dispersers for aerial distribution of sterile fruit flies. These services support the United States Department Of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection And Quarantine (PPQ), and California Department Of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) in conducting a preventative release program to prevent fruit fly infestations in the Los Angeles basin and other areas in California.
