Overview
Government Description
5 year contract for flight hours in order to release sterile flies over Florida. The United States Department Of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection And Quarantine (PPQ) is procuring aircraft and crew services for the aerial release of sterilized fruit flies to support the fruit fly preventive release program in Florida. The contractor will provide two to four fixed wing twin engine airplanes, qualified pilots, and dispersers for aerial distribution of sterile fruit flies in high-risk areas, supplying all personnel, labor, equipment, and materials required for the work. Services will be performed primarily in Florida, seven days a week, excluding federal holidays or airfield closures.
