Government Description
El yunque national forest facilities maintenance and construction IDIQ in Puerto Rico provides engineering construction through Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and Design-Build (DB) methods to maintain facilities in a functioning condition at forest service facilities or recreational sites. Work performed includes new construction, additions, alterations, maintenance, and repairs to facilities or sites, including construction and real property maintenance and repair. Tasks completed under this contract include generator and fuel systems maintenance, emergency management building and conex relocation, repair of trail fill slope failures, design and installation of new fences and gates at the el verde facility, and decommissioning of bathroom and septic systems as well as selective trail decommissioning within the caimitillo recreation area. Work is performed at various locations within el yunque national forest, including administrative, heritage, and recreation area sites, as well as remote rural and mountain locations.
