Government Description
Region 1 road maintenance and forest maintenance/support services include maintenance and repair work on national forest roads and related improvements throughout the national forests and national grasslands within region 1. Work performed includes road grading, maintaining the crown and shoulders, drainage dips, leadoff ditches, berms, turnouts, removal of minor slides and slumps, and vegetation clearing such as cutting and disposing of vegetative growth and hazard trees from the road surface. Provides all necessary labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to complete these services. Construction services are not included in this requirement.
