Government Description
REGION 1 ROAD MAINTENANCE AND FOREST MAINTENANCE/SUPPORT SERVICES. INCLUDES MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF NATIONAL FOREST ROADS AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE NATIONAL FORESTS AND NATIONAL GRASSLANDS WITHIN REGION 1. TASKS PERFORMED MAY INCLUDE ROAD GRADING, MAINTAINING ROAD SURFACES AND DRAINAGE FEATURES, REMOVAL OF MINOR SLIDES AND SLUMPS, AND VEGETATION CLEARING SUCH AS CUTTING AND DISPOSING OF TREES AND HAZARD TREES FROM ROADWAYS. ALL NECESSARY LABOR, EQUIPMENT, SUPERVISION, TRANSPORTATION, OPERATING SUPPLIES, AND INCIDENTALS PROVIDED TO ACCOMPLISH THESE SERVICES.
