Government Description
National pilot services - IDIQ. The United States Forest Service (USFS) Fire and Aviation Management (FAM) requires contract pilots to staff agency-owned or leased aircraft for multiple missions, including initial attack of wildland fires, large fire support, mission pilot and flight crew training, administrative flights, and other missions as deemed necessary by the USFS. Pilots must meet specific qualification and training requirements, including recent mission experience, USFS-approved training, and verification check flights. Provides full-time employees to support task orders, including mission instruction, evaluation, and specialized operations such as backcountry and infrared fixed-wing missions.
