Government Description
Aircraft maintenance services provided in missoula, MT. Includes comprehensive aviation maintenance for the US forest service fleet based at the missoula aerial fire depot, primarily supporting SD3-60 sherpa aircraft as well as other fixed wing aircraft such as beechcraft, cessna, dehavilland, and quest. Tasks performed include scheduled inspections (a, B, C, D, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3C checks), unscheduled maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, component replacements, fabrication of parts, structural repairs, avionics servicing, and specialized services such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), hydraulic and oxygen servicing, and fire retardant test coupon fabrication. Maintenance activities are performed by an FAA certified repair facility to ensure airworthiness and operational readiness of the forest service fleet stationed at the depot.
