Grant Description
The City of Weirton is applying for FFY 2019, FFY 2020, and FFY 2021 Section 5339 Urbanized Area Formula Program funds apportioned to the Weirton Urbanized Area in the amount of $116,417 ($38,804 in FFY 2019 funds, $40,388 in FFY 2020 funds, and $37,225 in FFY 2021 funds) for the following projects:
- Purchase of one (1) replacement less than 30 ft. 12 passenger bus
- Purchase of one (1) replacement less than 30 ft. 16 passenger bus
The non-federal share will be provided by the WV Department of Transportation.
Purpose of the award - to provide capital assistance and sustain public transit services.
Activities to be performed - purchase of 2 (two) replacement buses.
Expected outcomes - is to provide reliable transit services to the City of Weirton.
Intended beneficiaries - citizens of Weirton, WV.
Subrecipient activities - N/A.
