APPLICATION PURPOSE: FUNDS AWARDED WILL BE USED FOR VEHICLE PURCHASES THAT WILL ASSIST THE MILWAUKEE COUNTY TRANSIT SYSTEMS EFFORTS TO PROVIDE MORE EFFICIENT AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO THE FIXED-ROUTE TRANSIT RIDERS IN MILWAUKEE COUNTY; ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: PURCHASE OF THIRTY (30) 40-FOOT CLEAN DIESEL BUSES FOR 2024; PURCHASE OF THIRTY-NINE (39) 40-FOOT CLEAN DIESEL BUSES FOR 2025; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THESE REPLACEMENT BUSES ARE EXPECTED TO OFFER LOWER EMISSIONS AND FEWER ROAD CALLS RESULTING IN A CLEANER MORE RELIABLE SERVICE FOR RIDERS.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: ALL CURRENT AND FUTURE USERS OF THE MILWAUKEE COUNTY TRANSIT SYSTEM.; SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES: NONE
