Grant Description
Application purpose: This grant funds capital costs of replacement buses in 2025 and operations of Eau Claire Transit including budget deficits from 2022, 2023, and 2024 operating expenses.
Total amount will be $5,650,896 ($2,282,160 in FY23 5307 Urban Formula Funds plus $3,368,736 in FY24 5307 Urban Formula Funds).
Activities performed: Activities include capital expenses for two buses to be purchased in 2025 as well as maintenance operations, admin, drivers' salaries, fuel, and other eligible operating expenses from 2022-2024.
Operating assistance funds the City of Eau Claire's fixed route municipal bus services.
Expected outcomes: This project sustains reliable and affordable transit service in the City of Eau Claire, WI into calendar year 2024.

Intended beneficiaries: Commuters, students, businesses, and residents of Eau Claire, WI.
