Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this award is to fund the bus replacements, some of which for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) hoists and related equipment facility renovation projects, including satellite facility acquired with FTA funds in July 2021 to outfit it for transit purposes. Formally, it was used as a FedEx processing center and warehouse.
There will also be training on the new equipment, roadway, and other improvements which will help on-time performance.

Intended Beneficiaries: The benefit for the City of Madison and Dane County riders will be the improved transit options which enhance the public transit experience.
