Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this award is to replace and purchase rolling stock for three rural transit agencies in Washington State.
Activities Performed: Replace 30-foot and 35-ft heavy-duty buses to be used for public transportation in rural areas of Washington State.
Expected Outcomes: Increase safety and performance by replacing older vehicles with newer ones; modernize bus fleets and bus facilities across the state; and thus improve air quality and combat climate change.
Intended Beneficiaries: Public transportation customers who utilize public transportation services across the state of Washington.
Subrecipient Activities: Follow proper procurement processes to purchase new vehicles. Subrecipients may choose to conduct their own procurement or use the state cooperative master contract to purchase the vehicles:
Mason Transit - Purchase 5-35 biodiesel coaches (replacements)
Grant Transit - Purchase 4-clean diesel coaches (replacements)
Clallam Transit - Purchase 3-clean diesel coaches (replacements)
