Grant Description
Application purpose: Ensure UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITYS light rail system remains viable for another 25 years while improving local community accessibility and safety.
Activities performed: Replace 20 fully ADA accessible low-floor light rail vehicles.
Expected outcomes: Improved service reliability and safety and significantly improve accessibility for riders by allowing direct access to the vehicle and reduce the use of boarding devices.
Intended beneficiaries: Riders who use UTA services especially those who use mobility devices or have difficulty with stairs and UTA staff and operators.
Subrecipient activities: NA
