Grant Description
Application Purpose: This award applies FFY2020 5339(b) Bus and Bus Facilities Competitive funds in the amount of $180,000,000 (full federal amount awarded) for Cache Valley Transit District to design and construct a new bus storage/maintenance/admin facility.
Activities Performed: The activities performed under this award include the design and construction of a new facility for CVTD.
Expected Outcomes: The funding in this award will pay for the design of the new facility and initial construction costs. The new facility will provide expansion capacity for the district, allow for a transition to electric-powered vehicles in the future, and provide indoor storage of the transit vehicles (currently stored outside). This will provide more security and allow for better transit asset management.
Intended Beneficiaries: The primary beneficiaries of this project are the paratransit passengers, other transit riders, and CVTD staff.
