Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
National Training and Technical Assistance - NASTAD (National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors) proposes to support the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and HRSA-25-063 recipients in response to HRSA-25-065: Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America – Systems Coordination Provider (EHE SCP).
NASTAD aims to empower jurisdictions to improve linkage, retention, and re-engagement in HIV care and treatment.
NASTAD will guide them to develop strategic partnerships and engagements with stakeholders that enhance their ability to pursue sustainable financing strategies for HIV services and connect with priority populations.
A collaborative leadership model will be implemented where Auntré D. Hamp, Med, MPH, Senior Director, Public Health Systems, will serve as the Principal Investigator, providing programmatic, fiscal, and administrative oversight of all activities, while Bashirat Olayanju, MPH, Director, Health Systems Integration will serve as the EHE SCP Director overseeing the day-to-day operations of activities by the EHE SCP.
NASTAD’s implementation approach will build upon lessons learned throughout its five years of supporting EHE-funded jurisdictions as the current SCP-funded agency and over 30 years providing TA to the workforce.
NASTAD proposes a framework supported by NASTAD’s knowledge and experience working with the RWHAP and EHE program to advance project activities in four implementation focal areas guided by strategic systems drivers – strategic partnerships, systems coordination support, dissemination, and sustainability.
