Grant Description
A GRANT OF UP TO $7,324,479 TO THE STATE OF TENNESSEE FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE EAST TENNESSEE STATE VETERANS CEMETERY AT GOVERNOR JOHN SEVIER HIGHWAY IN KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE. THE CEMETERY SERVES MORE THAN 155,000 VETERANS AND THEIR ELIGIBLE FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE REGION. THE GRANT WILL FUND 800 COLUMBARIUM NICHES, LANDSCAPING, AND IRRIGATION.
Funding Goals
GRANTS MAY BE USED ONLY TO ESTABLISH, EXPAND, OR IMPROVE VETERANS CEMETERIES THAT ARE OWNED AND OPERATED BY A STATE, TERRITORY OR TRIBAL GOVERNMENT ON TRUST LAND.
