Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to improve the state of good repair for replacement vehicles and its software for public transit agencies in Tennessee.
Activities Performed: This grant will purchase replacement vehicles and its software for public transit agencies in Tennessee.
Expected Outcomes: Benefit include improved state of good repair of public transit fleets and improvement of transit service efficiency through computer-aided scheduling and dispatching. Real-time ridesharing, advanced fare payment methods, and real-time bus arrival information, etc.
Intended Beneficiaries: All state of Tennessee transit agencies that choose to participate in the statewide ITS procurement, as well as their riders, will benefit from this funding. Additionally, SWHRA and UCHRA riders will benefit by procuring new vehicles.
