Grant Description
THE CORDUA IRRIGATION DISTRICT, LOCATED IN YUBA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, WILL REPLACE AND RETROFIT FLOW CONTROL STRUCTURES AT 12 SITES ALONG THE CORDUA MAIN CANAL. ALL 12 SITES WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH A CLOUD-BASED SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM, ALLOWING FOR REAL-TIME DATA READINGS AND REMOTE OPERATION OF THE FLOW CONTROL GATES. THE PROJECT IS EXPECTED TO RESULT IN ANNUAL WATER SAVINGS OF 5,010 ACRE-FEET THROUGH MORE PRECISE AND ACCURATE FLOW CONTROL, REDUCING THE NEED FOR GROUNDWATER PUMPING TO MEET SYSTEM DEMANDS.
