Grant Description
This award will investigate, develop, protect, and conserve the waters in New Mexico.
This support and assistance serves the public's interest by enhancing the Rio Grande Project (RGP) to ensure continued access to water for municipal, agricultural, and environmental uses, enhance riparian wildlife habitat, decrease flooding of adjacent lands and channel sedimentation, and implement voluntary consumptive use reductions to build resilience in the RGP area under prolonged drought.
This support and assistance also serves the public's interest by implementing conservation measures in the Middle Rio Grande Project (MRG) to support endangered species.
