Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
The recipient operates a reclaimed water system that treats water from the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and distributes it to customers for various uses.
The project will extend pipelines and add ground storage tanks to the existing WWTP and increase reclaimed water for distribution to customers to a maximum of 12 million gallons per day (MGD), or 13,452 ac.ft. year of water.
This represents approximately 50.5% of the current annual domestic water supply and about 28.3% of the projected water needs at buildout.
Phases 1-5 of the recipients reclaimed water distribution system were completed previous to this agreement.
Phase 6, Phase 7, and Phase 9 are part of this project and consist of plant and pumping improvements and distribution lines to serve additional customers.
Tasks Phase 6 adding dual electrical feed and additional pumping capacity to the WWTP for the reclaim system.
Phase 7 construction of approximately 2.2 miles of 24 diameter pipeline to extend the reuse distribution system south and toward the Kenney Fort development potential customers.
Phase 9 construction of approximately 2.9 miles of 24 diameter pipeline to extend service to the Clay Madsen Center, a city facility, and Switch Data Center and Dell Computers potential customers.
The improvements included in this grant application are portions of the ultimate build-out plan for the project.
The current and future phases of the system are shown in the figure below.
