Project Grant

Overview

Grant Description
The East Bay Municipal Utility District, located in Oakland, will install seven Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) collector network towers and AMI endpoints on approximately 40,000 meters at residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

The project will provide customers with real-time water use data and is expected to result in annual water savings of 1,176 acre-feet, currently lost to leaks.

Water savings from the project will allow the district to better manage its flows and releases from the Mokelumne River, supporting ecological benefits and enhancing the district's resiliency to drought.
