Overview
Grant Description
This agreement provides funding for construction and/or modification of municipal, rural, and industrial (MR I) water systems through Garrison Diversion Conservancy District. Completed activities will provide water to residents throughout the state of North Dakota.
Garrison Diversion has been authorized under state law as the organization to administer rural water projects for the Garrison Diversion Unit Project. Individual rural water organizations and the North Dakota Department of Natural Resources, under agreements with Garrison Diversion, perform the direct design and construction activities associated with the funding provided herein.
The recipient will complete Phase II of the Northwest Area Water Supply Project (NAWS) Biota Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The project includes the design and construction of an addition to the Phase I Biota Water Treatment Plant, which is currently under construction. It will also include a building expansion, treatment process capacity, pumping, and solids thickening and handling system.
