Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
This agreement covers the activities necessary for design including project management, reporting, environmental compliance, permitting, design, construction management, and the construction of the San Juan Watershed Project.
The project will increase local potable water supplies by developing, conveying, and recharging recycled water and stormwater into the San Juan Groundwater Basin. The project includes installing and repurposing pipelines, three stormwater treatment basins, two infiltration basins, the construction of a water treatment plant, and the rehabilitation of two existing wells.
Implementation of San Juan Watershed Project will provide up to 8,240 acre feet per year and reduce the need for imported water. This will benefit the community, recreational opportunities, and wildlife habitat.
