Grant Description
Purpose: This project will provide guidance to district personnel and promote the efficient delivery of agricultural water, especially under problem situations.
Activities to be performed include:
- Providing direct assistance to individual districts for water efficiency issues
- Providing indirect assistance of researching issues that span multiple districts
- Educating on water management subjects
- Communicating expertise through various professional forums.
Deliverables and expected outcomes: The objective of this project is to provide technical assistance and guidance to relieve strain on the agricultural side of water balance and ensure water is made available for competing uses among the public and the environment. The recipient will provide guidance for delivery system modernization and water manager and conservation, as well as classroom and hands-on training for efficient delivery system design, management, operational practices, and flow measurement and management.
