Grant Description
Application Purpose: Provide 1 year of preventive maintenance, drugs-alcohol test, drivers physical examination, employee education training. 2 years of intelligent transportation system security cameras, monthly payment acquisition of 3 laptops. Purchase of 6 replacement buses for SITRAC. Purchase of uniforms. Project construction management of the bus shelters. Construction contract ADA paratransit services. Purchases equipment for garage and purchases of electronic equipment for transportation services offices.
Activities Performed: Funds will be used to cover eligible preventive maintenance, perform drugs-alcohol tests, drivers physical exams, and employee training. Cover monthly payment of ITS and security cameras, drivers uniforms, and the purchase of 6 replacement vehicles. Also include the project construction management of the bus shelters, construction payment of the ADA paratransit services, and purchase of equipment for garage and transportation services offices.
Expected Outcomes: Funding will permit SITRAC to continue to provide regular and paratransit operations, meet preventive maintenance standards, and preserve and keep the SITRACS rolling stock vehicles in a state of good repair. Comply with the process testing and exams required by local and federal laws. Also keeping the equipment updated and in good condition, providing faster, more reliable data collection, and improving transit service activities.
Intended Beneficiaries: SITRAC and the riders that rely on its service will benefit from continued services, permitting workers to get to work and riders to get to essential services.
