Award Purpose
The purpose of this award is to reduce the amount of time an offender is unemployed following their release and improve and expand the effectiveness of services by adding an evidence-based prerelease program to provide career development services.
Activities Performed
The prerelease services will include one-on-one case management and basic career services with case managers.
Deliverables
Case managers will continue to ensure the participant meets their employment goals and will follow up with the participant for up to 12 months.
Intended Beneficiary
The intended beneficiaries of this grant will be DWS, WDOC, CDL training program, and the construction association.
