Grant Description
Application purpose: Provide funds for the construction of a new bus maintenance and storage facility (BMSF).
Activities performed: Site work, demolition and development, utility upgrades, access improvements, and construction on the new bus maintenance and storage facility (BMSF).
Expected outcomes: Enable WCTA-FT to build a new state of the art bus maintenance and storage facility (BMSF) that allows for improved safety and security of vehicles being stored.
Extends the useful life of assets, improves operational efficiencies, offers on-site fueling allowing for bulk fuel purchases, reducing overall fuel costs, provides space for adequate social distancing among employees, supplies proper ventilation, and automates bus washing and sanitizing.
Intended beneficiaries: WCTA-FT employees and contractors and the residents of Washington County from the capital assistance in its assurance to provide reliable transit service.
