Grant Description
Application Purpose: This project will be used for operating expenses incurred beginning July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023. All expenses are related to fixed route and paratransit services.
Activities Performed: This grant will be utilized to subsidize the operating expenditures of Hazleton Public Transit.
Expected Outcomes: The use of grant funding will result in the ability to provide reliable quality public transportation service within Luzerne County. The grant will subsidize a portion of the operating budget for Hazleton Public Transit. As this is ARPA funding, this allowed for a 100% reimbursement of eligible operating expenditures.
Intended Beneficiaries: The funding will benefit the patrons of the public transportation service as it will allow buses to continue operating service.
