Overview

Grant Description
The proposed project will re-envision and completely transform this essential public space, creating a vibrant, revitalized destination which offers new recreational opportunities for users of all ages and abilities. The new Westside Park will include restored tennis and basketball courts, a multipurpose athletic complex with a cricket field, and a wide array of new spaces for gathering, playing, relaxing, and enjoying nature.

A new boat launch and an expanded and reconfigured path system, including a river walk, will provide park-goers the opportunity to fully enjoy the Passaic River as they never have before. Additionally, we will renovate the existing public restroom facilities at Westside.
Funding Goals
THE NOTICE OF FUNDING OPPORTUNITY IS INTENDED TO ENGAGE PARTNERS IN PROJECTS TO ADVANCE THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SUBJECT PROGRAM. THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE (NPS) IS SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS NOFO THAT MEET THE PURPOSE AND FOCUS OF THE SUBJECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. SUCCESSFUL APPLICATIONS WILL INCLUDE ACTIVITIES THAT DIRECTLY SUPPORT THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM.
