Overview
Grant Description
The long-term data collected by I M NETWORKS plays a crucial role in helping park managers, other NPS staff, and agency partners to perform the vulnerability analyses that form the basis for climate-change adaptation planning.
With long-term monitoring data collected in more than 270 parks and accelerated rates of change driving urgency in many cases, there is a need for targeted capacity to help I M deliver timely, accessible, high-quality data for use by park managers, researchers, and the general public.
This project hires a cadre of data scientists for two years to support I M NETWORKS with management, quality control, visualization, and publication of network vital signs monitoring data.
These data will also be evaluated for their readiness for use in climate analysis and adaptation planning.
