Grant Description
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will subgrant a Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) grant to the City of Green Bay to aid with Phase 2 of the multi-phased Green Bay Shipyard Park project.
Specific development for Phase 2 includes the construction of a great lawn for recreating and events, a dog park, urban beach, adventure playground, restroom and locker facility, stormwater infrastructure, interpretive signs, play fountain, fitness court outdoor gym, and park amenities of seating, bike racks, chairs, shade umbrellas, and hammocks.
This segment of the overall project will provide approximately 4.5-acres of vacant land for new public outdoor recreational use. Completion of this project will benefit the community and visitors of all ages and abilities.
