Grant Description
The California Department of Parks and Recreation will subgrant the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) award to the City of San Rafael for the enhancement of Pickleweed Park.
The Pickleweed Park enhancement project will expand and increase outdoor recreation opportunities, including conversion of a soccer multi-use field to synthetic turf. Add amenities that will include a basketball sport court, fitness equipment, a playground for children under five, and a gazebo.
The project is one of the City of San Rafael's top priorities. It will provide much-needed outdoor recreation access to one of Marin County's most severely disadvantaged communities.
