Muscogee (Creek) Nation is applying for FY 2021 formulary funds in the amount of $890,676.00 for operating assistance. These funds will provide public transit in all counties within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation tribal jurisdiction, as well as maintaining a transit office in all counties. This will provide approximately 40k passenger trips along with driving 300k passenger miles.

The nation will contract with KATS to provide demand response service in towns and cities within the tribal jurisdiction. This will also allow for an ongoing public relations campaign.

Muscogee Creek Nations is submitting this application without an indirect cost rate since their FY21 rate has not been approved yet by Dept. of Interior (DOI). Once the DOI approves their rate, MCN will submit an amendment to add the approved rate.

Purpose of the award: To ensure continuity of transit operations within the Muscogee Nation reservation.

Activities to be performed: Transit service to provide greater access to job opportunities, education, healthcare, and other services as necessary.

Expected outcomes: Increased mobility for tribal citizens and the general public residing within the eleven counties of the MCN reservation.

Intended beneficiaries: Muscogee (Creek) Nation tribal citizens and the general public residing within our reservation area.

Subrecipient activities: Transit service to provide greater access to job opportunities, education, healthcare, and other services as necessary.

Recipient plans to amend this application to add indirect cost upon approval of their FY2021 rate by Dept. of Interior.
