Grant Description
Application purpose: The purpose of this award is to support capital projects.
This application will span from May 5, 2023, to December 31, 2027.
Activities performed: Funds will be used to cover workforce development, charging infrastructure, 3rd party project management, on-board surveillance, bus shelter replacement, and diesel and electric vehicles.
Expected outcomes: Funding will support TARTA's efforts to reduce emissions, to maintain safety standards for workers and riders, to prepare TARTA staff for the pending fleet transition, and to maintain standards of customer amenities.
Intended beneficiaries: Reduced emissions will lead to improved air quality for the service area.
TARTA and the riders that rely on its service will benefit from a more sustainable service.
Maintaining safety and amenity standards will improve the customer experience.
Subrecipient activities: None.
