Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this award is to support Laketran capital projects such as preventive maintenance, replacement vehicle purchases, equipment upgrades, third party consulting contracts, and the purchase of signage.
Activities Performed: Funds will be used to replace aging Dial-A-Ride vehicles with new propane and gasoline powered vehicles, design/engineering, third party consultants, transit enhancements like bus stop signage, and replace aging computer and maintenance equipment.
Expected Outcomes: Funding will maintain Laketran fleet and facilities in a state of good repair through preventive maintenance activities and the replacement of aging equipment with new.
Intended Beneficiaries: The residents of Lake County, Ohio and riders of Laketran will benefit from continued access to safe, reliable, and clean energy transportation.
Subrecipient Activities: Laketran has no subrecipients.
